First Impressions – Make your home a welcoming one. Have a good look around. It is easy for potential buyers to imagine themselves living in a home that is clean and clutter free. Time for a good tidy up!

In The Garden – A tidy garden is always appealing! So make yours work for you! Put away children’s toys, make sure bins are out of sight, get rid of those wayward weeds, keep lawns and plants under control.

Inside The Home – If you are planning to redecorate, choose neutral colours that will appeal to a
wide range of people, and if there are minor repairs to be done – get them done now!

Before Your Viewers Arrive – A few simple tips to make your viewing successful!

• Turn on lights throughout your home
• Open the curtains and blinds, open windows to let fresh air in
• Consider some flowers or scented candles (placed with care of course!)
• Plump up a few cushions on the sofa and beds
• Clear surfaces in the kitchen and bathroom, and put away cleaning products
• Tidy children’s and pet’s toys away
• Close drawers and cupboard doors
• Remove bins and pet’s bowls from sight
• Clear sinks of dirty crockery and cutlery
• Put the toilet lid down!
